Flash Animation
Flash is back with a bang and according to trade pundits it is here to stay. In this immersive course you'll learn how to draw simple but compelling characters; bring them to life by providing them with expression and emotion; set them to motion by using motion blurs, selective animation, and speed lines. You will explore the critical issue of how and when to tween, and when to animate frame-by-frame. You will learn to write a story, sketch and animate a storyboard in Flash, and plan your "camera" shots and techniques. Finally you will learn to transform your animated storyboard into a fully-featured animation. By the end of the course you will have a 30-second animated sequence with a soundtrack.
Details
The focus of this course is on character animation. However, techniques learned in this course can be applied to any Flash design project for the web and web enabled devices.
A four week supplement to the Flash Animation course will introduce you to Action Scripts which will help you enhance the quality of expressions, movement and animations. In the supplemental course you learn the best practices around scripting, you learn to use ScriptAssist and also to code Action Script behaviours.
